| Jeff Barton is our president for the 2009-10 Rotary year. Jeff began life in Texas County, Missouri and later moved with his family to Carmichael, California where he grew up and finished High School. He went on to complete a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering at California State University, Chico and also earned a Master of Business Administration in Management from Golden Gate University in San Francisco. He started his career with Pacific Gas & Electric Company working at a Nuclear Power plant and later on Hydro Electric Generating facilities up and down the entire state of California. He met his wife Stacey, a long time resident of Turlock, while working in Fresno where she was attending college. They later moved to Turlock to take up residence and raise their family. He is currently employed by the Turlock Irrigation District as an Assistant General Manager. Jeff has a daughter who will be attending California State University, Monterey Bay in the fall of 2009 and a son who is a sophomore at Turlock High School. Jeff is an avid golfer, loves the game of baseball (Red Sox fan all the way), roots for the Packers, loves good wine, good friends and a good time. |
